“Do not fear mistakes—there are none.” ~Miles Davis

I start this blog by openly displaying the vulnerability of my works – no matter how hard you try to make something perfect, some things will always be out of your control.

Whether it be structural problems, glaze colors, or the off-chance that your pot wasn’t dry enough and explodes in the kiln, potters are always faced with the excitement and fear that comes with the day the glaze kiln’s door opens after firing.

Sometimes, it’s just not what we expect.
